trans problem

I have a 99 auto. When on the freeway going 75 I floor it trans doesn't shift it hits the rev limit at about 100 mph. While driving in town all four gears work just fine. Only have a problem on the freeway. Any one ever had the same problem. Oh and I changed my gears from 270 to 315. Thanks

Talked to my the tuner and he said I didn't have too.

That's funny ill check it out thanks. But if it the tune why do I have all four gears with no prob driving around town ?

You need a tune for it to function properly. With a tune by a knowledgeable person (not the tuner you have now) it will be even better around town. Quicker and more responsive. Several areas need to be addressed. It is not as simple as just plugging in the lower gear ratio.

For a mechanic/tuner to tell you that a gear change DOESNT REQUIRE A TUNE adjustment,, he is seriously CLUELESS!!

You need a tune for it to function properly. With a tune by a knowledgeable person (not the tuner you have now) it will be even better around town. Quicker and more responsive. Several areas need to be addressed. It is not as simple as just plugging in the lower gear ratio.

100% on the mark! Where do you live. someone may be able to recommend a more knowledgeable tuner in your area.
