Default TPMS kit

I'm going to install Cultrag's TPMS upgrade into my 2000. Can I program the wheel transmitters before installing them into the wheels or do they need air pressure. I would like to make sure they work before I pay for the mounting and balancing. Anyone done it that way ? Thanks, Rod

That's the best way. Sit in the driver's seat with a magnet and program them. Have them marked lf, rf, rr, and lr, and program in that order, then make sure they are mounted in that position on the car and you'll be all set. They don't need pressure, but you may have to drive them a few miles before they transmit and read on the DIC.
