I knew this install was going to be bad...but not this bad. Got the passenger side header is fairly easy. Took starter and valve cover off, pulled the bolt from the bottom of the motor mount, lifted the engine and it dropped in.
Driver's side has been a nightmare. Steering shaft is moved to the side, valve cover is off. Kooks instructions say to lift and possible pry the engine.
I've got the engine lifted to where the intake is pushing up the cowl. the motor mount bolts are not out of the crossmember so I'm not sure how to move the motor over. Do I pull the bolt from the mounts from the top to try and move the engine over? This header is not going in unless I can move the motor over an inch or so.
I've already busted the clip on the sensor on the side of the head trying to wrangle this thing in. I had to give up for the night. I was getting pissed. Any advice for those of you who have been through this? I might try and call Kooks tomorrow. Here's a pic of where I'm at. 2003 Z BTW.
