Default Clutch quick connect leaking

Had my slave and clutch replaced and added a remote bleeder before winter but now i am getting a small leak at that quick connect on the drivers side by the wheel well. Can i purchase a new o-ring and replace that? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Is it leaking at one of these fittings?.....Or differently with the remote installed.

Clutch M/C on the left (It has the plastic disconnect sleeve with the o ring to the front of it), slave cylinder on the right.

I am not quite sure which end its coming from, but it is coming from that quick connect in that picture. I just figured it was coming from the inside and not one of the ends where it comes into the quick connect fitting.

It is quite hard to give you suggestions, when there is not much info from your end.

You mentioned nothing about having the slave replaced when having the clutch replaced. Did you?

Assuming that you didn't do the work your self?

Have you driven the car at all since the clutch work was done?
If done at a shop....How far way from where you are at?

Describe your car....miles, year & mods done to it in regards to motor & clutch, as your profile...about me isn't filled out.

Yea the first sentence says i replaced the slave, no i had a buddy do it.

I have driven the car a lot, probably around 3k miles, it leaks on to the exhaust and i monitor the fluid level.

The car is a 2003 z06 with 85k, it has full exhaust, cam with supporting springs etc, intake, and tune. Has ls7 clutch.

If you have driven the car 3K miles since the slave was installed, I'm assuming that the leak at the disconnect was leaking from day one.

Perhaps the off white plastic lock/unlock sleeve is damaged & the disconnect isn't seated in all the way (could pop completely out)

Or possibly the o ring was damaged before or when engaging the two lines together. Or possibly the combination of both.

The plastic sleeve has a split all the way length wise , so it can be removed & replaced.

Of course the o ring can be replaced also.

If you still have your old slave, you could remove both items from it & install it on to your new set up.

I'm assuming that the slave cylinder is for a C/5 & not a C/6 with the kit that was purchased?

I'd give Joey & the crew at Tick Clutch M/C, a call.
Phone # 336 719 0599

They do hundreds of change outs.

I'm sure that they would listen & possibly have a recomendation to the problem that you are having.

Regardless of that, I would ask them to send a plastic sleeve & o-ring my way.

I'm sure they would acomendate you in your request.

Good luck & please let us know what they had to say.

Called them, they have the plastic pieces for-sale but that is just there to get it undone if im correct. They dont have any o-rings.

Anyone have an old o-ring they want to send me?

Most large cities have an O-ring supplier. Remove it and they can size it for you and get you one. Buna-N or Viton would do fine.

Also you might want to disconnect it and make sure you lubricate it with clutch fluid and reseat it and see if that helps.
