02 Z06 drivers side headlight not flush.
There's been fender work done by a dealer on the drivers side before I bought the car. The front of the headlight lid won't go down far enough to be even with the fender by 1/2 inch on the outside corner. I've adjusted the lid including the white nuts on the bracket as far down as they will go. The front outside corner of the lid hits the glass headlight so there is no more adjustment left. I don't see any adjustment on the 5 screws/nuts that hold the entire assembly to the frame. The down stop with the white nylon piece does not move. Any suggestions?

Something is out of whack because GM puts enough adjustment in the movable parts to take care od MASS PRODUCTION variances. You may have to trim the plastic head light cover or elongate some adjustment holes.
Can you take a picture of the misalignment and the parts that hit the light??

Yes, looks like elongating the 5 mounting holes for the assembly is the only option. The left front was hit in 2012 and poorly repaired at a Chevy dealer(new fender, bumper, hood) with shims between the inner and outer fender on top so the hood would mate to it. I paid the same dealer now under new ownership, to remove and re mount the inner fender higher to make it correct. The headlight assembly bolts to the frame on the side so I can only guess the fender was mounted an inch too low again even though the shims are gone and hood mates ok now. Pics to follow.

If you elongate the mounting holes for the head light assy, make sure that you put the adjustments for the head light cover half way between fully raised and fully lowered so that you have some fine adjustment control.
How can a STEALERSHIP allow a finished repair go out to the customer like that????

I would add that adjusting this is more than aesthetics. If you're going fast enough the air can under and rip the entire lid off to send it flying over your head to be shredded by traffic before you can say %^$& Yup happened to me on Saturday.
That was my question to the "New" body shop manager and he just shook his head and said all the old employees from the previous owner were gone. Then $700 later I get the car back from him and the headlight wasn't flush and the driver side wiper tears my hood up the first time I use it.
