Which is the best blower cam??????
OK which cam rules on a stock displacement LS1/LS6 with an ATI Procharger? You can do stock heads or Stage II heads..just specify which you are referring too when stating cam specs.
Thanks
Thanks
Kevin ,
when i was discussing D-1SC installation with Mike he reccomended the 229..I was open to changing my current Cam but after a lengthy explanation from Mike i was convinced to stay with it.
The 229 Cam actually helps the motor manage / handle the extra boost due to the valve duration...If i was running a different CAM i suspect we would have opened up the heads to reduce the compression .
I'm sure Mike would be happy to give you all the technical details and further explanation.
My 2 cents ;)

Hey Jeff,
Actually Mike called me the other night and we talked about yours and my cars. I very impressed at your numbers...very nice. I actually just sold the 229 cam that I had, which is good because it was a 112 lsa, if I did the 229 cam again in would be like yours a 229 on a 114 lsa. I think I would have to maybe relieve my pistons again..I know a guy up here that would open up the chambers on my LS6 heads for virtually nothing if I pull them, so with that in mind, if I don't mill them, I would actually be lowering the CR to maybe around 10:1 or 10:3, so I could run a bigger cam, although I will have to change the valve train...Pretty much your setup is exactly like my old coupe...our RWHP/RWTQ #'s were identical..except the 112 lsa made the power down around 6250 RPMs, but the 114 is more ideal for a blower. Nick Agostino told me the blower would just enhance the power we were already making with our H&C, it is quite obvious Mike did just that with your car......phew........its going to be interesting to watch it over the next couple of years..my guess is after 1-2 years you will have a S/C 427 in there. Lets talk soon off the forum.
