Need battery for 2000 Corvette
I put one of the yellow tops from one of my other cars in it and still same issue after a little while. i have checked fuses and everything and all seems to shut off. sometimes the radio stays on but i just have to pull the 15 amp fuse on the passenger floor board under the dash and that fixes that issue.
so i have been looking to get rid of that piece of crap optima out of the car and have been looking at the Odyssey batteries and wondering if thats the battery of choice for our cars?
also is this the right one?

Amazon.com: Odyssey 34/78-PC1500DT Automotive and LTV Battery: Automotive
Be advised though, that just changing to a high quality battery w/o addressing the current drain issue when your car is shut off, will cause a new battery (ANY new battery) to discharge quickly.
Btw, this battery is the same one. It is produced by Odyssey. Same battery, silver/grey case.

In my opinion i should be able to leave the car sit for over a week without driving and not have issues with it not starting. All my other cars i can let sit for weeks on end not being driven and have no issues with starting after.
the odyssey battery is only like 20 bucks more

Your car is designed to have a 20 milliamp battery draw in the SLEEP MODE.
IF,,,, the car never enters the sleep mode because something is causing it to stay awake OR if something doesn't shut down when you turn the key off and you are drawing 1 or 2 AMPS, that new battery is going to go DEAD.
A good example of this is the Head Light Control Module. When they go bad, they usually apply excessive current to the head light motors in the lowered position.
Another example is the seat control module and seat motors. If you have a bad seat control switch and its causing one of the seat motors to continue to drive in one direction, the SEAT MOTOR "CIRCUIT BREAKER" in the passengers fuse box will TRIP AND RESET, TRIP & RESET until the battery runs down or you fix the issue.
Just because you don't physically see something drawing current like AN INTERIOR LIGH staying on, doesn't mean something is not drawing current when it not suppose to.
Read the actual battery current draw and post your results.
