Help door lock issue
So I just noticed on my 03 C5Z the drivers door has no provision for a key in the event that the battery dies. Has anyone else run into this and what do I do if the battery dies and the doors are locked?
Thanks
Larry

Your drivers door has a key hole! The passengers side DOES NOT! CAREFULLY,,,,, Pop off that cover and you should see the lock.

Best find yourself an appropriate
lockout tool and hide it on a frame rail with a magnet or something.

Your right... they did a great job, but it's not factory. Talk about keyless entry!

I absolutely love the clean look and I am trying to keep track of the mods of the car any idea who made these they are for sure a aftermarket piece and not one off.

Must be a door handle off of some other model vehicle that fits...

Not these but looks like these would work as well if you didn't want a keyed door handle.
Looks like this may be the one..

If you want to keep the look then I would suggest you get the emergency hood release cables to open the hood in case of a dead battery. It will keep you from having to get the car in the air and jump power via the starter to open the door. Of course that will not help you if the actual lock motor fails.

Another thought...
If you want to keep the clean looking handle, how about extending your manual trunk release cable out the bottom rear of the car? Crazy? In a dead battery situation, assuming you're small enough (or find somebody who is), you could crawl in thru the trunk...
