anyone have any tips on getting the driver side header in? Ive got the other side in and cant seem to get the driver header in.
I have taken the alternator off and unbolted the engine from the engine mount so I could move the engine a little more. I cant seem to squeeze it in. any tips?
As far as installation goes the passenger side fell right into place from above pretty easy. Driver side was harder but if I did it a second time it would be a breeze.
I went from the top all I did was remove the alternator unbolt the 3 bolts on the engine mount jack the engine up and the headers slipped in. I tried unbolting the hpipe and sending the headers from under but couldn't figure it out. My suggestion would be to go from the top....
Performance wise I notice it a little bit. Feels like it has more torque. The sound is absolutely amazing! I don't regret the long hours and busted knuckles at all. I live in cali so long tubes were a no go. I've had long tubes before and the sound is close which is cool to my current set up. Obviously the LT are better but I'm happy with the outcome being it's all smog legal.
After you get them installed let us know of the performance of the shorties. And how are the bbk shorties?
BBK Shorties are coated and fit nicely. Really changed the way the car sounds with my Corsa extreme exhaust. Much deeper sound, lots of low end torque.
