I just finished changing my valve springs today with the help of another forum member. We found that the tools in the picture, while not required, made the job easier. That especially goes for the wobble extensions. They came in very handy for working on the #7 valve springs and plugs. The tools were all bought on sale from Harbor Freight:
#67971 Wobble extension set
#37909 Hose pliers
#94011 Thumbwheel ratchet set
The hose pliers worked great for trying to remove the stubborn spark plug boots.
Sorry for the quality of the picture, but this will give you an idea.
Interesting choice of tools. Which spring compressor did you use? I recently did mine and found my new Crane compressor totally lived up to it's name. A friend of mime tried a couple of others without luck - I lent him my Crane tool and no problem.

You are correct! And, if you have something like a cordless Dewalt drill/driver, you can get that puppy on/off in a snap!!
