Just look for the slots listed in the owners manual and place a hockey puck on your floor jack pad

Items needed:
4 each 2x6"s 8" long each.
2 each 2x6"s 24" long
4 each jack stands
1 floor jack.
Note: if your car is lowered you will need to place 2 each 2x6"s under the each front wheels first. Do this buy stacking 2 each 8" 2x6s and put the 24" 2x6 behind them. Drive up onto the 24" piece first then onto the double stacked 2x6s.
If your car is not lowered: Drive your car up on 4 each 2x6"s.
Then with some 24" long 2x6s jack here and place jackstands:
Let the jack down onto the jackstands:
Then go to the rear, if your jack pad on your floor jack is wide enough you can jack the rear of the car to get the 2 sets of 2x6s under the rear wheels. Place the floor jack under the rear subframe.
Let the jack back down and place a 24" 2x6 on the floorjack and jack up the rear:
WARNING: Make sure you get the jackstands under the crossmember in the rear. They need to be more inbd on each side!
then let the floor jack down:
WARNING: Make sure you get the jackstands under the crossmember in the rear. They need to be more inbd on each side!
this is what you will end up with:
You can not use this method to change the oil, because the 24" 2x6 up front will block the oil drain plug. I use rhino ramps and jack the rear to get all the oil out.

I'd only trust jackstands on the frame, near the sides of the car, so that you can jar and move things with confidence. I jack mine like this:

I agree with pat97vette about that board under the rear. If you had those jack stands scooted in about 1 or 2 inches, it would be just right.
I tried putting a board between my jack stands and crossmember once to protect it. But the cracking noises scared me. I figure if I'm careful it would be real hard to damage that crossmember. And it's not like I have it polished under there anyway.
But great pictures and great post. I like it when folks "post with pics" :D :D

IMO your instructions I see you using something that was designed for a lifting pad as a "Jackstand" pad? It seems to me that you are not getting full flat contact on those hockey pucks, as you state the pucks are "folding" over the jackstands. I can see using them to jack the car up due to the floorjack having contact with 100% of the hockey puck, but as a jackstand pad?

The pucks are definately flexing due to the smaller area of the jackstands contacting the puck. But, when it's up on jackstands like this, I had a few people help me push and pull the car and it was 100% stable. I've been under my C5 for many reasons and each time the pucks haven't deteriorated - they pop back to shape.
I'm not trying to flame you for your jacking idea, but I just wouldn't feel safe under there. Also, I wouldn't sit in the car with it being supported mainly in the middle.
