Has anyone ever changed these out? I have 1 bad one(lower drivers side).. also do both of them come in one "unit"that i have to purchase,,,, or can one just be replaced? Thx
The reason I posted the link I did was to raise the question I guess... are you sure it's a bad motor and not a relay? Would be lots cheaper and easier if it is...

You can also buy the entire frame and fans/motors but that is a lot more expensive.
It will be a LOT easier working on these if you first remove the fan assembly. Need to get under the car and disconnect the wiring plugs and remove the hold downs that retain the wiring harness to the housing. From the top remove the 4 bolts that hold the plastic cover over the radiator and AC condenser. You can then remove the entire fan assembly from the car out the top. Out of the car you can repair/replace failed components a lot easier than with the assembly still in the car. JMHO.
I would much rather buy just the motor and do this!
If you read the OP's previous thread, which you posted in, carefully, you would see that he swapped relays and still has the same no run condition for the drivers side fan.
Sshop manual (not always correct) indicates that the entire shroud need to be removed from the car. Once you remove the blade (1 nut) you have access to the 3 bolts that mount the motor to the shroud....
What I described in my earlier post should allow you to remove the entire assembly so you can change out the motor.
Before you order the motor you can test the one in the car by disconnecting the plug and applying 12V from a battery directly to the motor..... Polarity is not important to test the motor.
