I bought my first C5 when I was 19, in 2006. I'm on my 2nd C5 now.
I totaled my first one by hitting a tree trying to drive at 11/10th. Comming from having a SR swapped S-chassis, I learned what mid range torque was all about really quick lol.
19 when I bought my 2004 corvette! Had a 350z at 16, which I miss sometimes! It's definitely something you need learn before pushing it to it's limit. 20 now.

I too was in a 350z for a couple years before the Vette

How would you compare the two beast? I liked the rawness the 350z gave me as well as steering response, it was sharp, and the manual box was a pleasant to drive. I feel the corvette wins over power and pure looks. But for driving pleasure I'd say the 350z edges out. What's your opinion?
bought mine when i was 26. Best purchase of my life. Im 32 now and still enjoying it. Soon as I get my first nursing job hoping to add a c6 to the collection. Which should be this summer.

I went from an 03 6 speed touring edition 350z to an 01 z06. The nissan was a great car and I really missed the way the trans shifted until I put a new shifter in the vette. My z would predictably understeer, then oversteer hard, especially in wet. The vette feels worlds better in these situations. The vq35 was an absolute peach though, sufficient torque but silky smooth and so responsive. The Z was far too fat though, the trans was too finicky, the clutch was too heavy, the interior sucked, and the handling was average. Loved the car though.
I bought my first C5 at 28 this year with my cash from a lot of hard work! Had a '99 Trans Am when I was 22, and a whole lot of other cars! Corvette was my dream car, and I don't think I'll ever sell this one!!! ...unless maybe for a C6 Z06 one day
I'm currently 21 and bought my c5 at 20 cash I also hate payments . I had a 350z before like the above posters. Both cars are awesome I loved how tiny you felt in the z it felt like a go-cart while the vette is just raw power and badass.
