Default HELP!! dead in the water

Completed the install of my Dewitts short rad and SPAL fans. Started up the vet and checked on fluids and temps. All good. Took her out for a quick test drive and all was normal. Came back to the house and parked outside the garage. Put the window valet back into the OBD II port and checked the operation...all good. Went out to move the car and started right up but got Reduced engine...Low Fuel...and a few other messages on the DIC... Went to pull codes and PCM. no com..TSC..no com BCM no com HVAC no com... radio no com. all gages except the volt meter were dead. Funny thing is the car was running and definitely not in reduced engine mode. Shut the car down and pulled the window valet out. When I went to start the car. nothing...Zilch....nada.. no start and the same DIC messages Could the Window valet have caused this? Im open to any and all help. O2 vert with mods listed in my sig. I do have a TECH II but with no comm Im not sure it helps.

Check your battery voltage first and then make sure the connections are tight...
I would disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes and then reconnect also, if it has good voltage...

A fully charged battery should be 12.6v or more.

If the battery is

12.5 = 85% charged
12.4 = 65%
12.3 = 50%
12.2 = 35%
12.1 = drained

My guess is you battery is good... You have one of a couple of things that are most likely causing a corrupted SERIAL DATA BUSS issue. I bet that you have also lost control of the power windows from the drivers side also

OR

Your BCM got wet or damp from HVAC condensate water flood back. Check the carpets and the pad under the carpet for dampness.

If the problem isnt wet or damp BCM, there are TWO thin connectors to the LEFT of the BCM. Find the ones with FOUR wires and pop the TOP off the connector and see if you regain comms

I recommend you remove the Valet and get it out of the serial bus to see if it is the issue.

Thanks all for the input, checked the battery after a night on the CTEK and it was bad. Go figure. Good one day (hour) bad the next. Dropped in a new Optima red top and all is back to normal. I really wasn't looking forward to playing hide and seek with the serial buss, I just want to drive the car. Thanks again for the input.

These cars are just so sensitive to battery condition/voltage. Glad you were able to find your problem without have to rip into the electronics.

Thanks for posting what happened... you still may have some connection corrosion, but at least you don't have to worry about low voltage
