Default Recommendations for head porting

I'm looking for a shop to do a port/polish job on my 317 heads. Local shop wants $1000! This seems high to me, anyone know anyone? Thanks!

I got my 243s ported from them and am very happy with my decision. Their results speak for themselves....but also the customer service was great and they actually met their advertised turnaround time.

When you get the heads done for far less cash, take the heads to that shop and tell them their price SUCKS! LOL!

On another note,,, What other performance / reliability mods do you have in mind to complement your heads??

I have some recommendations if you would like to have them.

I guess we all have our favorites
Anger Managment built this HeadGames Motorwork's heads equipped N/A Vette, with a stock short block (rod bolts). Had our friends at Kelford Cams make us a custom bump stick and through it's factory (built) automatic. It hussled down the track to a tune of 10.22@130!

They are great people to deal with. Did an awesome job on my LSA's.

Lots of shops have CNC programs - but there is more to it than a pretty CNC job and flow numbers..
