LED reverse lights always on w/ ign. fix
I don't know if this is a common issue but my reverse lights were always on faintly with the ignition on after switching to LEDS. I could have dealt w/ it but I was bored today and had to resolve a backfeed issue w/ the euro tail lights anyway so I pressed on. I ended up wiring in a 150 ohm 1/4w resistor to the bulb itself as I wanted it enclosed and I always figured I could use the bulb base as a heat sink if it got warm. I did leave it on for some time and it wasn't ever above room temperature so I'm unsure heat was ever a problem. The only caution w/ doing this is that you put the bulb in w/ the ignition off so the resistor doesn't short the hot terminal to ground as you put the bulb in and twist it. Make sure you are using the correct terminal on the LED bulb as one will be brighter than the other (at least in my scenario it was). You only need one resistor on the circuit so pick a bulb.
