Speed control shuts off
I'll be driving along with the cruise control set and it will shut off by itself. Since I'm getting ready for a long trip in a couple of days I'd really like for my CC to work. Any ideas? 2002 Z06. Thanks!

Check the switch at the clutch pedal. Does the DIC say "Cruise Control Disengaged" when this happens or does it just cut out?

This is also a symptom of the steering position sensor failing (SWPS). When the cruise control disengages during a driving cycle pull the codes before turning off the engine. The code generated by a failing SWPS is not always saved after the engine is shut off. The codes for the SWPS are C1287 and C1288 in the section 28-TCS.
To read the codes use the following steps:
1) Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine.
2) Press the RESET button to turn off any warning messages.
3) Press and hold OPTIONS.
4) While holding OPTIONS, press FUEL four times within a 10-second period.
5) System will first enter automatic display mode followed by the manual display mode
