Default Intake leaks??

I replaced the gaskets after replacing the oil pressure sending unit. I followed the correct bolt-down pattern and the approximate inch-lbs of 44 for the first tightening then 89 for the last. It wasn't perfectly precise as the torque wrench is a beam-style. The back two bolts could not be torqued down with the wrench due to clearance issues making it impossible so I had to use my best guess with an allen wrench. Turned the car on and it still leaks even with new gaskets. Do I need to take the damn thing to a shop? I am a college student so I don't have much money, inherited the car when my grandpa passed.

Obviously replacing the oil sending unit is pretty much more pain that it is worth.

This leak wouldn't be from the oil sending unit would it? It was supposed to be tightened to 15 ft/lbs and I wrenched it down to what felt enough to compress the compression washer. It doesn't seem like that would be it...

How did you determine you had an intake leak?

I can hear the air being sucked in from the back of the intake. At least that is where it sounds like the suction is coming from.

I doubt your intake manifold is leaking around the gaskets. There's a map sensor and another tube (I think it does something with the AC) on the back of the intake manifold. Check those.

Ok I will look tomorrow. I know I connected one tube and one wire connection on the back side.

check the brake booster line, map sensor, and there is also a vacuum line that controls the hvac

I'm betting it's vaccum lines on back of manifold. Do the AC vents work correctly?
