C5 window indexing?
Or do I just need to adjust the window upward?
Thanks in advance!
It's pretty simple to make small adjustments... pop out the reflector in the door panel using a flat bladed screw driver at the bottom of it and lift up and out... there is an adjustment there. I think it's for the up or down...

So the answer is "NO." The window does not auto up/down, so I just need to manually adjust the window. That's all I needed. Thanks.

If the window if fully raised, when you open the door, the window tips INWARD slightly. When you shut the door the tipped in window hits the gasket and slides upwards into the gasket as a result of door travel.
If you have a good gasket and the window is properly adjusted, it will have a good seal all the way around the door opening.
There are several critical window adjustment points and you need to follow the above procedure to get it correct.

have a nice weekend sir!
If I feel that my windows travel too far down into the door when hitting bottom (whatever that bottom may be), does this mean I can adjust that so it won't travel down that far?
I guess I'd call it over-travel. They go down, but they go down what I feel is maybe an eighth of inch further than I would like. They get down there and then you can hear them rattle a bit when closing the door, or if I go over a bump. What I do is just hit the up button and bring them back up that small bit, so the top edge of the glass is then held between the rubber drip/seal thingies that run the length of the door.
Also, I think the passenger side may need a bit of lube. The window jumps a tiny bit when opening from the fully closed position.
S.C.
