Yes. It is real easy to do. You will jack up the drivers side of the car. Just in front of the rear wheel you will see the tank shield. You remove that and you will see the pump hat assemble. Pull the lines off and unbolt the pump. Try and run as much fuel out as you can. Have a catch pan ready for the rest. The assembly just pulls out after being unbolted. I think racetronix has some decent instructions on this. I put their pump in years ago.
would like to thank all you guys for the info. What kind of pump would you recommend and do they come with the sender? or just get it from gm? And in the right tank its not really a pump (electric) so really i just need a sender, have a gauge issue, you know fuel gauge goes to empty.
Did mine couple years back, and not to bad a job..went with stock replacement..
might wont to check with Gene @ CULTRAG Performance LLC. there is lots of instructions
and videos out there also..

The one trick you need to know about getting the left tank pump out is to unclip the fuel sender assembly from the pump bracket to allow the float rod to sit against the fuel pump body. Otherwise, it won't simply pull out. It is about a 2 hour job to do both sides if you take your time. I put the jack in the middle of the rear so I had both rear wheels off the ground.
The key is to run the tanks as close to empty as possible. (I carried a 1 gallon gas can with me when I knew I was getting close to empty) That way you won't have to deal with much gas if any. Also, I recommend you buy and INSPECT the new assemblies PRIOR to disassembling your car. I bought my new pumps but didn't pull them out of the box before pulling the car apart. One of the sending units was cracked so it had to go back. Lost a week of driving my car.
If you have the skills to pull the wheels off the car, you have the skills to replace the pumps. Just takes time.

So we ended up taking out all the fuel lines and forgot how they go in lol does anyone have any idea on how, where, and what they are and do? if you have any info please lmk thankyou!
Is there any way this fuel pump is less than 2 months old? I was told it was replaced Feb 5th. I dont believe it but I want to be sure before I make accusations.

nothing looks right there. Replaced with a used pump is more like it.
