Every few days (100 miles or so?) I get the "Service Vehicle Soon" display on the DIC. I changed my oil less than a month ago, and the level is fine. There was the U1016H error code, but I contribute that to when I installed the Blackwing and had to remove the fuses for the PCM and do the intake/PCM recalibration. No other codes in history.
Any idea's on why I keep getting this message??
I have the same problem. Took car to Chev Dealer and they found the battery leaking. Removed acid, said the PCM was OK and after $400.00 and a new battery I still get the Service Veh Soon. Usually after about 35 min of driving without turning car off. Let me know If you have any luck.
The 1016 is unrelated. All the 10xx codes relate to communications problems .. which are usually intermittent and can usually be cleared with no recurrence. If the car is usually on an incline, I'd be 'inclined' to think that it has something to do with one of the fluid levels .. coolant, brake fluid, etc. You'd think that a code would be set, though...
100 miles has passed since last notice, and like clock work, notice appears on DIC once again. This is really confusing  not to mention frustrating :cuss No codes
Suppose I'll have the oil and coolant changed this weekend and see if that resolves the problem.
