stock headers with p0420 code
i had the p0410 code and got that fixed then the p0420 code came up ive reset it multiple times and it keeps coming back. i live in nova and need to pass emissions asap. ive read and searched but most of what i have found was for LT headers.. i do have a borla axle back exhaust. so im looking to replace the 02 sensors first but can not find the correct (rear) 02's any help here? i guess after i replace that and it throws the code again ill have to buy a stock h pipe?

p0420 is for a catalytic converter efficiency code. The converter is not cleaning up the exhaust enough and is setting the code. I have never seen replacing o2 sensors fix this code. Going to have to replace the converter.

I have because I've done it. Looked at the sensors through a scanner. The passenger rear o2 wasn't switching. When my drivers side p0420 code came up i replaced the sensor without checking.

Did some diagnosing today. hooked up the scanner. The drivers o2 sensor was real lazy and stuck at 0mv at idle and cruise. Would react only if i accelerated. Replaced with another one. Code has not come back.

ok another question, so i have the stock cats with "pup" cats... i have a 2002 so i will need the stock mid section from a 2001+... but the Z06 does NOT have the pup cats. will this affect emissions testing on my car in NOVA? i need to pass emissions ASAP
