Default Reduced engine power

EI did some searching and I'm not satisfied with my results. I remember reading a few months ago about a similar instance but I can't find it.

So here we go. As you may recall my combination is a front mount 6.0 build making a modest 550 rwhp. The car has only been put together for a few months and tuned for a month or so but I have been driving it very liberally. Last night I decided to feed a little speed through it. I stabbed the throttle from a 40 mph roll. Somewhere say 100 mph it completely leaned over and I had nothing in the peddle. Car slow down to a 15 Miles per hour and I had no acceleration in the pedal. Reduced engine power mode and all the lights on the dash were screaming at me. It was 3 AM and I was in the forest preserve and was able to roll into a parking lot. I was able to get the negative cable off and touched it to the positive post to reset the computer. Car fired up and seem to be back to normal. I obviously left well enough alone and took it easy on the ride home. I peeked at the codes on the DIC and got a 0327.

I am assuming I got a little detonation and the motor went in to save itself mode. Obviously driving through the forest it's cooler and I didn't get an opportunity to look at the boost gauge to see if it creeped higher than what it was tuned for. It's still on the wastegate spring.

Is it safe to say that code was thrown due to detonation?

P0327 Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Front

If I was to guess. I would say that your sensor is not being detected or something like that due to a break in the wire or the sensor being bad.

Edit: Unless you want to believe that a few differences in temperature is going to cause problems.

Could've exceeded the calculated airflow table in the ETC section and forced a REP mode as you described. Those codes are cleared on key off also

There also may have been a slight increase in boost. I didn't get an opportunity to look at the boost level, but I increased the downpipe size from 3 inch to 4 inch. I recall reading in some instances guys have gained a couple pounds of boost due to less back pressure in the exhaust. I don't know if there is a direct correlation between exhaust back pressure and boost going into the motor.

When I swapped the knock sensors over into my new motor, I visually inspected them and they seem to be in good shape. However I did not conduct any type of ohm test. The wiring harnesses also look to be in good shape. There could be a split in the wire someplace and if this condition keeps up I will investigate it in detail. Plus next time I will actually look at the boost gauge. I was more concerned with trying to keep the ship off the wall. LOL

Lower rpm you'll see less torque and upper rpm will take a retune for sure. I bet you were exceeding airflow and setting that exceeded airflow dtc.

I ordered a set of new knock sensors and the wiring harness just to be safe. I will switch them out when I switch the fuel injectors out to go E85. When the car is a re-tuned on E85, I don't want to have any problems on the dyno.
