I have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator which shows that it is holding pressure. It drops a little when I start to rev up the engine but i assume that is normal. The TPS has gotten wet before I disassembled it dried it out and reinstalled it but that was over 2 years ago I also would assume the tps would show a code.
I'm thinking it is fuel related just not sure how the fuel filter is about 60k old and the pump is original.
Fuel pressure should be at about 58lbs. If the pump was an issue then I would expect to see pressure drop when you get to higher RPM's.
Are you running an oiled air filter element? Sometimes excess oil will contaminate the MAF.
Might watch under the hood at night to see if you have a spark jumping problem at higher RPM.
As i said above it will be a hunt........
I have to just make to back to New York on the 31st and then start hunting. I'm down in Mclean VA for job training until then. Luckily even if it was the fuel pump it is easily accessible.
