1997 electrical issue
I am on the road 1000 miles from home. 1997 c5 with 42k miles. It is 100 degrees here in florida. The electrical gauge and volt meter on the car was showing a charge of only 12.5 amps on the dic and would drop to 11.9. I pulled into auto zone and the battery showed that it had a dead cell. 50 month old battery so I replaced it. The charging system also checked out at 13.8 but the dic battery volt meter is only showing between 12.9 and 13.2. What can it be. Do I drive to Orlando or replace something here in Fort Walton Beach. Hope this gets read soon!

High humidity and heat may cause an amplification of pitting and corrosion I suppose. I will continue on my journey and fix it when I get home. You are the best bill. It is now showing 13.6 on the dic
