Maybe it's just common knowledge but every time I look at a TB they say ls1/ls2/ls6/etc etc and each one has the cable wire part. They never say for fbody only..What if I didnt know any better and bought it because well I have a ls1 but this wouldn't work so just wondering why most adds are like this but nothing about not fitting corvettes or whatever with drive by wire... SO just curious how folks are putting these on the cars or you have to specificity look for "drive by wire" .Someone help me understand. I been wanting to put something like this on..and when I read "drive by wire" my brain thinks it's driven by a wire aka cable..cant seem to get that thought out of my head that drive by cable is that driven by a cable vs "wire" being electronic,

Sloppy, unprofessional, and sometimes (deliberately) misleading websites. When I see that crap I IMMEDIATELY cross off the store/vendor/seller from ALL future purchase considerations, regardless of product category.
But it seems like with these tb thats the norm. When you look at any other ls1 parts or whatever it says specifically for that vehicle. When it comes to tb all they say is lsx..Just odd

Like I said, sloppy, unprofessional, etc, etc. Who ever the nimrod is that post the pictures in their ad copy just grabs the most convenient "glamour shot" photo from the manufacturer.
Usually, the same nimrod doesn't even KNOW (or care) about any specifics regarding applications. Keyboard pounders are, by-and-large, NOT car guys.
Yeah I was just looking what else I could do to the car and was like wow thats cheap was just about to order it then notices most of them have that cable wire but dont say much else..bastards

you know you really don't need a throttle body anyway, you could probably make more power than what our motor can handle on the stock tb/ls6 intake when boosted... maybe send it out to be ported and polished but I wouldn't do much more than that personally

Much ado about nothing. Those cable driven TB's are even more popular these days, with the hot rod industry now using LS motors, and wanting to retain fuel injection. It's not all about C5 Corvettes.

I was thinking about picking up a ls2 tb and this..figured I could get closer to blowing it up was the goal........wait no

you're making enough power already to implode it if you really really want to... I personally don't want mine to go but if it happens it happens, I know what I'm dealing with so I can't be mad... but personally I would stay away from an aluminum intake at our power levels where it really isn't needed, it can potentially heat up the incoming air and might not even make any more power anyway... the ls2 tb might hit your bracket, I'm sure Andy or Josh could better answer that one though... you could always flip it around but some people don't seem to like that idea either
