We recently purchased a 1998 corvette coupe. I put my settings into memory # 1 and my wife put her settings into # 2. When she drives the car and tries to recall her settings it never goes to the settings she programed it to. We have gone over the manual several times and it looks like we are using it correctly. Any suggestions?
The problem might be with the key fob. You should have two fobs, make sure she is setting for the right fob that she is using. I know on my car one fob does Memory 1 and the other fob does Memory 2.
It works fine for me with one fob. I have number one set how I like it, and set number 2 to be identical except with the side mirrors turned down (so headlights don't reflect in my eyes at night). I can switch between them without changing my key fob by pressing the buttons on the door.
Memory 3 (1 and 2 at the same time) is set for my girlfriend, and it works with the same key fob. The seat and mirrors move to her settings without any problems.
The only thing that prevents it from working for me is if the car is moving. The memory option will not move the seats or mirrors when the car is moving, but it will do the radio and HVAC settings.
I've given up trying to understand them. I think it worked correctly
a half dozen times in two years. As long as I can manually set the positions,
it works for me.
