Default big tire questions

Hello all,
I have some sp20 ccw rear wheels. The rim size is 20x13. And im currently running the 345/25/20 nitto invo tires. I want to get some drag radials, but dont want to buy new smaller rims. If i go with 20 inch drag radials, ill be losing meat to the ground. My question is : has anyone ran 20 inch drag radials? If so, by who, and what size? Or do i just break down and buy some 13x18, and be done? Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks all.

The problem with 20" rims is that even if you put on drag radials there isnt any sidewall. Then of course they weigh a ton comp[ared to smaller rim sizes.
I have a set of 19/20 TSW rims but have the OEM wheels still as well and run 18" Nitto NT05R drag radials on those. They work so well I just broke my output shaft at the dragstrip.

Drag racing usually requires the largest sidewall as can fit----A 20" wheel will be so stiff and may work great on a road course but as a drag car you will get "0" wrinkle affect at launch--- My best runs on my C5 were done using C4 16" wheels---The sidewalls were incredibly like 5" and the car would bite like crazy with 12 PSI of air in them---
My 98 car with approx. 400 RWHP would run consistent 12.1's and 1.7--1.8 60 ft times

The trans and rear was done by rpm. They have rpm tags on them both. It was done by the previous owner. I will look into it, to see exactly what was do e to them.
