Default Realignment After Sway Bar Install

Do I need to do a 4 wheel realignment after I install new sway bars??? I know for most of you this is probably a dumb question but...Also, is this something I can do with floor stands and a jack or do I need to have it done professionally?
Thanks. :chevy :seeya

No, alignment isn't effected.

There is another thread about doing these, guy did it on jackstands w/out removing the wheels.

No, as long as ride height isn't changed you don't need to do another alighnment.

That is why I am concerned...one guy posted he was a good wrench and had a tuff time doing this and that guy you mentioned did it on jackstands seemingly easily...hmmmmm... :chevy :seeya

I replaced mine with Z06 sway bars and endlinks last month. It was very easy on jack stands, but I highly recommend removing the wheels. It is much easier to torque the endlinks with the wheels off. Many others have reported clunking noises after sway bar replacement which usually turned out to be endlinks not tight enough.

I agree with others that realignment is not necessary for sway bar replacement.

Make sure the sway bar is centered and you don't overtorque the bolts. Its a fairly easy job, although if you are going with adjustable endlinks the instructions usually don't seem to be very thorough with how to adjust them evenly.

I did mine on jack stands and did not take the wheels off. No problems so far after 10+ auto-crosses and 12K miles.
