Default Interior lights WONT GO OUT!

Hi eveyone,
Well, This morning I went down to the shop to test the column motor (related to other thread) the lights were out in the interior. I opened the door, lights came on as normal, but forgot my meter and some jumper leads. I closed the door and the lights would not go out. Dash lights were on then went out after a few seconds. So I waited thinking they would go out in a few seconds. After 5 minutes had passed, they had not changed. Its got to be something simple.... Any hints would be appreciated

Went back down to the shop and started to look at everything. Found the rear deck had not latched completely when I closed it looking for the problem. It LOOKED closed but was up about 1/4 inch on the drivers side.... Closed it properly and out they went! ~ sorry for the false alarm. Maybe this little learning lesson will help someone in the future!
