Do you have the CD changer? Mine does not, so I used the ignition wire for it (I think the orange wire?.. that was a long time ago), under the passenger floorboard, to power my Valentine 1.

Thanks,
I do have a changer and was hoping for a switched source closer to the headlights or fog lights.
Nothing that far up. You could use the I/P fuse box fuse 11 to do what you want, the 3rd option below. Use the wire there or a fuse adapter. your choice. I don't like to tap into existing circuits.

In the passenger foot well there should be 3 auxiliary power wires.
Orange wire taped off. Always powered from Fuse #7 (20 Amp). This Fuse is shared with the cigarette lighter.
Orange wire to a connector. Always powered from Fuse #1 (20 Amp). Fuse is shared with the accessory power port in the center console.
Yellow wire taped off. Powered from ignition switch when in "ACC or On". Powered from Fuse #11 (20 Amp). Not shared with anything.

Mr. Sam
Thanks, but that is already in use and too far away for my needs.
just the way the first post read made it sound like you wanted an indicator LED near the fog light switch to turn on/off with the engine as if to show whether it's running or not... kind of like what guys hook up when spraying meth

Actually I am looking for a switched 12v source near the actual fog lights up front under the hood.......not inside the cabin.
Sorry that I wasn't clear.

I'm still not clear on exactly what your project is, not that I need to know... but, I would LISTEN VERY carefully to what information dadaroo is giving you and ask him some very specific questions about what your doing... it might not be necessary, but, I would hate to see your next thread be about Why did my C5 catch on fire? or My C5 electronics are going crazy any thoughts on why?

I knew exactly what and where you wanted it. I just can't think of anything that would do that closer than the engine fuse box.
