I would go to the 4 wire star connector and remove the top which disconnects the BCM feed to the RDCM. If that stops it then the BCM is suspect. If not the RDCM itself or the door switch has a mind of it's own.
You should have ruled out the LDCM with the swap and the SCM should not be able to cause the problem. Doing what I said prevents the SCM, LDCM, and the BCM from doing it.
There is a reason we can find unless you are on the "out" with Murphy.
It's been a busy work week. I'm going to do the buss bar thing first, but what am I getting into if I have to swap out the BCM? Something about reprogramming it? What does my Z06 have that requires additional programming to work?
I removed the buss bar, cleared all the codes, and went for a drive. Nothing odd happened. Other than the door controls being dead, everything else seemed fine. The passenger window stayed up. Upon returning, I checked the codes again. Nothing. All clear except for a 99-HVAC U1160 that seems to be persistent.
When I switched the key on and off with the footrest panel still removed I could hear the relays clicking in the BCM, which I assume is normal.
I plugged the buss bar back in and buttoned everything up. The driver's door is still dead except for the passenger locks. So if it is the BCM, what's next? I know that O'Reilly has them, but what to I need to do to make it work in my Z06? Is there some programming that has to take place or will it work out of the box?

I thought the driver door worked and all you had was an issue with the passenger window going down on it's own. Don't have time to go though all the posts.
The driver's door works after the car sits overnight. Usually. Once I start the car and start moving, such as backing out of the garage slowly, the passenger window rolls down and the driver's door dies. Except for the passenger door lock button. Weird. I'm about ready to let someone else worry about it permanently. I need to see if the door works now that it has been sitting.
They are cheap (reman) for 2002 and easy to swap and DIY relearn. If the replacement does not have the same RPOs that can easily be done by a dealer in a few minutes. Or drive over to me and I'll do it for free.
Mr. Sam
PS: The passenger door switch does NOT use the serial bus to work.
Just to confirm: As of today the driver's door functions are dead including the switch illumination. I am ordering a BCM which should fix my problems.
Question: Does the BCM have anything to do with the radio since I coincidentally lost the radio (aftermarket) at the same time?
The aftermarket setup has some sort of small interface devices in each door to bypass the Bose amps. If the driver's door is dead, then power to the amp (?) in that door would probably be dead. I was just thinking that the BCM might fix that.
Power to the Bose amps that are in the door has nothing to do with the other door functions. No idea what your "device does. Might have been nice to mention it long ago.
I didn't even realize it was there until I pulled the panel. The original owner had that installed and I didn't know about it when all this started. It was an afterthought to my major issue.
My new BCM will be here Friday. I'll get it installed and run through the relearn procedure. Right now I just want my driver's door controls to work.
Got the new BCM installed and programmed. No change. Door still dead. So I've checked the wiring in the accordion, switched out the LDCM, and switched out the BCM.
I went out and checked the codes. I had a bunch but I assume most were from where I installed the new BCM. BTW, the car runs fine and seems to be programmed correctly.
I still get a bunch of A0-LDCM codes.

So I cleared then and five come back immediately as I sit there.

I tried to clear them and all came back. Then I tried to clear them individually. Clearing the B2286 code caused the passenger side window to roll down on its own and then the code came back.
The door controls are still dead. No lights or functions except for locking the passenger door.
