Default Potential issues/problems with a 1998 coupe

So I'm looking at a 99 as a replacement autocross/track day car. This is a 6-speed coupe with fairly low miles.

I know about the column lock issues and potential problems with the EBCM, the "rocking seat", but are there any other specific things about the 1999 C5 that could bite me at some point?

The car has about 60K on it and appears to be in good overall condition. Price is reasonable for what the car is with lots of options.

I also have an '02 6-speed coupe and in the 10 years I have owned it, I have never had any big problems save a battery replacement about 7 years ago.

Comments??

EDIT: The car I'm looking at is a 1999.

The primary use would be for autocross and track days and it would be hauled around in my enclosed trailer. But it would also be something that I may very well use when I want to drive a Corvette in the rain. My '02 is the Sunday cruiser/car show/road trip car.

The last time I made this statement I took some flaming for it... but, I have seen NOTHING to make me change my mind and in fact I have tried to be very non biased and see if I was making it up...
Just read thru LOTS of post in the TECH section... It's surprising how many are 99 model cars...I didn't make it up and have no reason to state what I have observed other than, that's what I have observed. I'm not ******* on 99's I'm just sayin.

It seems they have more issues than later models...mostly electrical
If you've read the sticky on common problems... they get more than their fair share of them.
