Default Power Drain

2002 Convertible, a week ago the battery was dead - it's a two month old battery. Started testing based on what I read online... Car hasn't been running for over half an hour, no doors open etc. The RDO/CD fuse pulled, if I measure the current that would be going over that fuse with an multi tester, it's over 1A. (fluctuates).

Before I think I've got it narrowed down... is this a valid way to test? Pull a fuse, measure the amperage that would be flowing across that fuse and move on to the next one?

It's the power seat switch. I searched the forums, but I can't find a repair guide for the actual switch. In the electrical post:

Drivers or Passengers seat control multifunction switch. The return spring in the switch gets weak or damaged and the seat sticks in a movement position. The motors are thermally protected by a "circuit breaker" in the passengers foot well and will continuously set and trip until the battery goes dead.

I already pulled the fuse earlier this year for the lumbar switch (I could hear the motor running, easy one to spot there).

Is this one a "replace the switch assembly"? They're quoting $300 for the part, but I see them on eBay for a lot less. If anyone has a source for them outside eBay please point me in the right direction
