P1516 code
Started my 1998 C5 yesterday and got a bunch of error messages scrolling across the dash: REDUCED ENGINE POWER, TRACTION CONTROL, ETC. Engine felt rough for a moment. Let it idle a minute, then shut it down. Checked the code (P1516) on my code reader.
Restarted car and messages were gone; vehicle felt normal. Took it
for a ride (5 miles or so) and it drove flawless.
Checked later through the vehicles diagnostic system and the code came up with an "H" behind it (history) but no "C" behind it (current).
Not sure if should take it to get checked @ my dealer; not showing any current fault codes and running correctly. Did have an emissions test
done for state inspection the day before - not sure if they could have
done something to cause this; should have just checked emissions.
