Default Front tire size?

I have the new MT ET Street R radial 305/45/18 in the rears. I now have to find a good front matching tire, I am thinking Nitto NT555 Extreme Street Performance Radial Tire P275/40R17 on my 17x9.5 wheels. Will this size tire work in FRONT. The rear is good, I have been over 100 mph with the 29" tire in rear and no hard rubbing.

Now looking for a front to match that wont rub. Really leaning torward the Nitto P275/40/r17 just need to know if it will work?

265/40/17 is the standard Z06 front tire size, but many people use the 275/40. For the traction control to work correctly, the rear tire should be 1/2" to 1 1/2" greater in diameter.

Yes, they'll work but they're only 25.7" tall. That's over a 3" difference. Not sure if it'll set off any lights with that difference, but you can def put that size on the front. Many others have done it. Hope you don't think it looks funny.

You need to think about your ABS braking system-----GM has programmed into a STOCK C5 a 1" difference in tire heights between the front and rears---The rears being 1" taller-----Whenever altering this 1" "split" you risk that your ABS system will not work as designed----You can get away by getting it close but the further away you are the more risk you take that the ABS won't work properly---Bad thing is you will not get a code or a message--You will just not stop correctly when you need the brakes the most---
Also this 1" split is NOT tunable or correctable---------
