Default HELP - Water on passenger side floor

All elecrical items going nuts. The real pain in the rear part is that this happened 6 weeks ago and I had it towed to the dealer, the dealer's "fix" apparently did not work. Last time it dissabled the car and I was stuck at work at 3 in the morning.

I looked uner the dash, the compressor is leaking water big time from the little hole at the bottom. I sqeezed the 5 inch tube that I assume is the drainage hose to see if I could disslodge anything in it.

Now, rather than have anything else get damaged, I have dissconected the battery.

Is there anything I can do other than take it back to the dealer Monday?

There have been a lot of posts about this problem lately. The A/C drain is getting plugged and backing water into the passenger compartment where it drips down and follows the wiring into the BCM. You might try using a hair dryer or heat gun to dry out you BCM. But,If your car is in warranty, I would get it to the delaer or have them come and get it and fix it. Especially if they've worked on it before for this same issue and didn't repair it properly.

Unless your car was one of the first 2000s produced you still have factory warranty. As was mentioned this is a very common occurance on the C5s and when the floor gets wet enough it ruins the computer inside the panel which is located under the passenger's left foot.

Judging by what you wrote I think I would push the dealer for new electricals because they must have some damage from the water by now and you already had two tows. Otherwise, you will probably have future breakdowns.

You could drive it to the dealer but I would hesitate to take the car out in bad traffic for fear it might stall.

Like I wrote in another similar thread, sometimes it pays to haul around a passenger just so we can find problems sooner. A wet left foot is a good indicator of a problem.

This happened to me as well a couple months ago. It caused one of my relays to go bad in the PCM. Once i got the drain hose unclogged i also cut it because it funnels down into a small hole at the end and this is where it got clogged. No problems since. Good luck!
