My parking brake cable on the drives side has been broken for awhile. Other side works. Guess it just snapped at some point.
How hard to replace it? Assume you can't just do 1 side.
Looks tough.
Have no prob with it broken, but makes it really difficult to remove rear rotor cause no way to center I think... and if I ever wanted to drift
May just remove drum if labor is too much.
No, they're not too hard to replace and yes, you can buy just the right or left rear cable. DO NOT buy the Raybestos cables. They are a really good looking well made cable, but the ends don't fit. Stick with ACDelco or the like and it's an easier job.
I know this is a pretty old thread, but I'm having to replace mine and the center connection seems almost impossible to get to and I'm not sure how to actually disconnect it because I cant see where and how it is connected.
Can anyone give a little back ground on how to replace the rear drivers side parking break cable? I have a 99 standard vette.
