Trying to put z06 suspension on. I was told that it was pretty much an option you could have turned off in the bcm if you had a tech2

That's my bad. I did mean the F45 ride control sorry about that.. I'm stuck with the active handling light forever since I've got a 99 with a bad steering wheel sensor

I know it can be removed my trouble is finding someone willing to do it that's not 3 or 4 hours away.

If you find a Tech 2 this is the process:

1. Hook up Tech 2, turn ignition on, make sure module in the rear is plugged in. Do not unplug the rear module.

2. Use Tech 2 to delete the F45 option.

3. Save new configuration.

4. Do not turn ignition off, do not remove Tech 2. Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the grey connector (the widest one), leave any other plug(s) in.

5. Turn ignition off, leave Tech 2 plugged in.

6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of car. [never plug them back in again, if you do the F45 turns on automatically]

7. Unhook the negative post of the battery and walk away for an hour

8. Turn car on to verify the "max speed 80 mph" is gone.

9. Unplug Tech 2.
