hey guys my car has been a little weird lately hope you can guide me to get it resolved?
car info
2001 zo6
heads cam intake full bolt'ons
rpm lv5 trans
monster stage 2 clutch
tickmaster adj master
c6 diff upgrades
hurst short shifter
problem
when at a light some times i cant get it into 1st unless i hit another gear then go back to 1st, other times its like its stuck in gear when stopped and have to pull/push with some harder then normal force not an insane amount but a lot more then normal
this only happens "some times" when stopped, long as i'm moving every things fine
Sounds like your clutch isn't fully disengaging. I experienced this when I had my SPEC Duel disk for approx a month.
You should do two things:
- Bleed the master and slave
- Re-adjust your clutch peddle rod to apply more stroke to the master cyl (Make the rod LONGER) I added approx ONE turn on the rod and that solved my issues,
You need to see if your car CREEPS forward when you are on a smooth flat level surface, in FIRST GEAR, clutch depressed and you rev up the engine to approx 4000 - 5000 RPM.
If it creeps forward, that's a CLEAR indication that the clutch isn't adjusted correctly and the disk is still in contact with the pressure plate and fly wheel.
about a month ago i did adjust the tickmaster i was having a problem with high rpm shifts so i did extend the rod a little and solved that problem i can now shift in between 6500 to 6800 rpms so wouldnt that mean the clutch is fully disengaging?
not trying to be smart with you or any thing just really dont know?
I'm not sure about what fluid is in the Trans rpm installed it at there shop, I never slam 1st gear or force it in 1st gear? If it was internal would it go and come or just be there all the time? Trans has less then 10k on it

Internal trans issues are typically there at all times, It could be a pilot bearing issue. If the pilot beraing is messed up it can cause the clutch to drag. Double check and make sure the master has no leaks around the dust boot inside the car.

since you mentioned the pilot bearing that reminds me the car is making a weird noise some times if i take of a LITTLE aggressive i hear a it, the sound sounds like something turning and when it is gets to a certain spot it makes the noise or making a tight turn under 10mph
