Default Annoying interior rattle. Help!

I'm getting an annoying interior rattle from the passenger side rear speaker cover area. I have a 2001 z06. It sounds like its coming from back there maybe even below the rear window. Anyone have an experience with this particular rattle? It's hard for me to reach over there and drive.

I have a coupe but when I removed the right rear fender I found the upper part of the inner "tub" had separated where the glue is. Likely just from old age, or because I used to have a large subwoofer back there. I glued it back together with an epoxy. Not sure if this is your problem though. Can you have someone else drive while you sit in the passenger seat and listen?

Thanks, I'll check it out. It sounds like a plastic rattle, classic chevy.

I had a rattle, better described as a "double clack" when going over certain bumps. I swore it came from the area you describe.

I finally got it when I tightened down the front two removable roof receivers on the windshield bow above the sun visors. Each one, where the pins from the roof go in, have two 10 mm bolts and can be adjusted or moved down to make the roof tighter against the rubber molding on the windshield bow.

I investigated all sorts of things, including the passenger side speaker grill, stabilizer bar links and others before I found the cause.

MY,,, recommendation would be to find a TRUSTED FRIEND and have him drive it while you get into the back and figure it out... Pin point the area and start removing panels!!

Thanks everyone for the help. I wedged my partition deeper into the trunk area thus applying more pressure to the plastic trim pieces and the sound has gone away for the most part. I need to get someone I trust in there to drive it.

Haha yeah. I'm the only person who's driven it since I've owned it. I need to teach the wife how to drive stick but I don't really want to show her on a cammed z06. Gonna have a bad time
