Different C5 Wiper problem (98 Hatchback)
My wiper problem is a little different from what I read everyone else has. Mine don't come on by themselves. they don't stay on. They will only come on when switch is on high, when they first are turned on they move slow for about 1/2 of a second then they are full blast and when I turn it to any other position other than high that is where the wiper stops at. I can time it to where they are in the down position but it is annoying. I believe it to be in the wiper switch itself but I cannot find any info on troubleshooting the switch on the column. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like the wiper switch, typically when something only works on high resistor is shot that's what cuts back power for low and medium. Sorry I don't have anymore detail but feel your pain just swapped out my wiper motor 2x to get a good one. I guessed my switch was still good since washer always worked when wipers did not and wipers were intermittent on, off , dead. If you wipers always come on high setting would guess motor is good but switch bad....
