Well I finally recieved my ARP bolts for my clutch and tonight I got that installed as well as my leaking tranny. The clutch went in without a hitch torqued the flywheel bolts to 75lbs and the PP bolts to 50lbs. The tranny is sitting on the jack waiting for the differential with the 3.90s and hardened output shaft so I can get this install finished. So far so good no problems.

Re: almost finished installing clutch..... (C5Noir)
I guess I am going to be burning the midnight oil getting this setup ready. Hopefully I can make a couple of shakedown passes that clock in at 10.6-10.8. I would love to see some 10 sec passes first night out on the new setup. :smash: Hopefully the car will be finished by the Corvette meet @ Capital raceway if anyone wants to check it out.
Phillip
My prediction: 6 passes then a single turbo 400+CID motor. :yesnod:
Re: almost finished installing clutch..... (Phil97SVT)
Do you plan to just take it to the track after install is complete? I thought new clutch as well as new rear end needed a few hundred miles of gentle use for proper break-in?
Re: almost finished installing clutch..... (Sam Lin)
You should always break-in a new clutch and gears. I am going to give it 150-250 easy miles and then go to the track. Getting the clutch glazed isn't a big problem in less than 100 miles, the time consuming thing is getting the gears patterened and worn together correctly.

Hey Phillip, can't wait to see your latest creation. Keep at it and as usual, if you need anything give me a call. Your car will have to be the fastest one in town if you keep this up.
