Not sure if you have a coupe or a convertible. Did it work before and just stop working?

Could be the solenoid that operates the lock mechanism. On a convertible, there is an interlock to ensure you don't open the trunk with the convertible top cover open. Could be a fuse.

Anymore information you can provide?

Since the FOB and the switch don't actuate release then it is the BCM, Relay 39, Fuse 26, latch(es), or a wiring/connector issue. Relay and Fuse are in the I/P fuse box.

All cars have same design except the coupes have two latch motors.

If the relay and fuse are good I would jumper the motor(s) to test.

Hello and thanks for replying. the motor works and I tested all the fuses and relays. however I have a little push button in the ashtray compartment to release the trunk. many years ago my AC drain tube plugged up and the box that is mounted under the air conditioner, in front of the passenger foot rest got wet. could this be the problem as this is the only item that does not work on the car.
if this could be the problem do you know of anyone that has an electrical diagram of this, so that I could trouble shoot? There are not that many components in this module.
thanks
for your help.
