Corvett C5 Spare tyre,
Good Day,,how you going mate,,I'm an Australian I own a C5 Vett, and every time I take my vett for a run or to a show N shine it has always had me a little worried If I ever got a flat tyre especially at night on remote country roads, I carry fix tyre kit as well as air compressor, and a very low jack and a small plank of wood to rise the vett, for the jack to fit underneath,and I have read hundreds of forums on this issue ,, with not so very good results,,but you have came with a great idea, you are a a genius I must say. You are an Einstein,, with your idea,,to get a front 17'' rim and fit a 245_50_17'' tyre, wich you could drive your vett, even a thousand miles with no worry in the world and no damage could be done at all,been only . 05 smaller than the 18 '' rim,I have tried it and place the wheel securely in my trunk,, and had a nice cover made with the C5 emblem for the wheel,and the jack and everything else fits perfect,,and now I can rest and don't have to worry whatsoever especially at night,,good on ya mate you a'r a champ,,, keep in touch, kind regards,from down under,, RAY,
