Default TI exhaust hp limits

I've heard the z06 c5 oem exhaust system can only flow about 500whp...

I want a hi flow exhaust sys but minimum noise...

I am thinking the b&b fusion is the only option or custom electric cut outs...

I was going to check with billy boat to see what they say the limit is but according to their website it's 3" for the loud tail pipe section which I would assume is plenty enough for 550whp when both tail pipes are wide open.

Anyone have any real world results?

Many people have made over 900rwhp with stock Ti exhaust.

Not saying it's not costing them power at that level, but it definitely doesn't stop flowing or peak out...

At 500 rwhp, I doubt it's costing you 5hp.

I am hoping to be as close to 600whp all motor and figure every little bit will help.

I saw a post on someone switching from a honker intake to a killer bee with the ls3/7 maf conversion and picked up enough that it wold be worth the switch to me. Assuming the honker ends up being a restriction on the setup I plan to go with eventually.

THE ONLY obstruction in a Ti muffler is the stainless steel wrap on the perferated outlet pipes.. And as you can see, there is NO direct obstruction... Just chambers:

I would guess it's probably holding you back 5-10 horsepower at 550rwhp.

That's compared to an aftermarket axle back, cutouts may gain you another 15-20 over stock ti.
