Clock Doesen't Stay Set
My C5 with stock AM-FM-CD player, with CD changer in rear, lately has been acting unusual. Since I drive the car infrequently, I keep a float charger plugged in to keep the 1-1/2 year old AGM battery topped off. Recently, I had a steady red Theft-Lock light on, which kept me from using the radio. Removing the fuse, then reinserting it allowed me to reset the radio using the security code I programmed into the radio. Yesterday the radio came on, but noticed the clock was not on the correct time, so I reset it to the correct time. I parked the car, and when I returned and restarted the car, the time went to 1:00, even though it was 3:30, and I had just reset the time 30 minutes earlier. Seems like for the last 4 months or so, the clock keeps time as long as I am in the car while it is running. If I leave the car and and come back, all bets are off as to what time the clock reads.
What is causing this? Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I am considering upgrading to a Bluetooth Radio, so I can use my cellphone hands free, and play music without having to connect cords to the CD Changer Gizmo that lets me use the headphone jack.

BTW OP, excellent description of your situation! So many people leave out important details.

Been there, done that...
