Does anyone by chance know where I can find someone who makes an idler to replace the smog pump on my 98? I have googled it to death and can find a bunch for C4s but nothing for a C5. Thanks for any help.
The reason you can't find one is because the C5 doesn't have a smog pump. It has a small electric air pump which is positioned in the front bumper fascia near the driver side brake duct. You can disable it if you like but unless you have a way of programming it out you will get error messages.

Yep. You'll find the C5 is quite modern and revolutionary for a car designed in the 90's. You will find a multitude of design advancements you wouldn't expect compared to a C4. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to post them here. This is a great forum.
You can easily have the code programmed out by any reputable tuner. I had mine done years ago never had a problem. I had the tuner adjust a few other things like shift points and shift duration while I had the guy there. Good luck.
