Oh, how many problems I've been having with my car's electrical issues...
Try unplugging the memory module under the driver's seat to test it. That should disable the memory function and the seat should work minus the memory settings. Totally disabling it may also serve to reset it by purging the cached settings. Leave it unplugged at least overnight and then reconnect it to see if that helps.

Chuck, I think it is the SCM. You could remove the SCM serial bus wire from the Star connector in the passenger side foot wheel.
That should not prevent you from using the FOB to lock and unlock the doors.
