Intake wrapping?
Has anyone taken the time to wrap their Honker intake with some reflective tape? I'm only asking as it seems fairly logical to take something good, and make it better...
I trolled through some google searches and only came up with people talking about wrapping their headers, etc, etc...

If you carefully monitor the OUTSIDE AMBIENT AIR TEMP vs the Intake Air Temp Sensor readings, you will see how much difference there is between the two. That will show you how much heat soak is being transferred to the intake air charge.
I doubt tis significant when the car is actually moving. Sitting in traffic is a whole different story.
That data will allow you to see if wrapping it is cost effective and or necessary. ANYTHING that you can do to lower intake air charge temps will help performance. How much it actually helps is what you have to figure out.
Depending on the year car you have, the IAT could either be mounted on the AIR BRIDGE (97-1999) OR inside the MAF housing (2000-2004)
